In this PODCAST, courtesy of our old friend—this historian Luke—we actually can be a fly on that wall.

And oh, what sights we will see; and what sounds we will hear.

Sounds that continue to reverberate throughout the Millennia of Church History, all the way to our day and into our souls.

A good subtitle to this PODCAST would be, God Always Keeps His Promises.

“Remember Lot’s Wife!”

So many questions.

And as you will hear in this PODCAST, so many stunning answers.

Just to whet your appetite, just a few of the questions (that will indeed be answered in this podcast):

  • Did God engage in genocide—the wholesale slaughter of innocent men, women, and children?
  • What does the Bible actually say about homosexuality?
  • What is the real reason that God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah?

Bible Bootcamp: Inspiration and Interpretation

Welcome to a well-deserved pat on the back.

As you are about to hear in this PODCAST, I am thrilled to be able to look you in the eyes (metaphorically speaking) and say to you (literally speaking) with absolute confidence and conviction that you fulfill the mandate of Peter’s words to a degree that would delight the apostles’s heart, as well as my own.

The fact that you as a precious podcast listener have taken the time to click on a link to this podcast given the enormous numbers of online distractions proves that you “As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby.”

My friend, we have so much to talk about.

Family Matters

There is a play-on-words in 1 Peter 1:22.

As you will hear in this PODCAST, an insightful play-on-words that we miss to our peril.

Coming as it does from Peter’s pen, I can assure you that this play-on-words is most-intentional. Pregnant with meaning poignantly personal to Peter, and to us as well.

This play-on-words is a bit of a pun—not humorous at all, but serious in the extreme—that goes straight to the heart of what it means to be committed-Christ-follower now, today, in our current Christian culture.

A Lamp Shining in a Dark Place

As you are about to hear in this PODCAST, it is one of the most, if not the-most-blessed, doctrines in all of the Bible.

So naturally, theologians have to come along and muddy it all up to the point where today it is MUBAR:

Messed Up Beyond All Recognition.

I’m talking about the blessed doctrine of—fancy name—imminence. As in the imminent return of Jesus. As in the clear and (as you will hear in mere moments) unambiguous Bible teaching that Jesus could return at any time. As in the glorious truth that nothing needs to happen to precede Jesus’ return.

The “blessed hope” for which we do hope, every single day.

Please remember that depending upon your web browser and connection speed, it may take up to 60 seconds for this podcast to begin to play.

God bless you richly as you listen.
